LISBON HANGS TOUGH, POWER PAST WATERLOO

WATERLOO, OH- The Lisbon Lady Blue Devils weathered a push by Waterloo in the first inning where Lisbon coughed up three runs, but still won 13-3 on Thursday. Waterloo scored its runs on a home run by Cieplinski.   Lisbon Blue Devils

The Blue Devils fired up the offense in the first inning when Oehlstrom hit a solo homer.  Lisbon secured the victory thanks to eight runs in the third inning.  Autumn OehlstromMcKenna DaileyTaylor DelandKenedy Vrable, and Justyce Vrable all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.  Dailey singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one, Deland doubled, scoring three runs, Kenedy Vrable doubled, scoring one run, and Justyce Vrable homered, driving in two more.

Mya Emmerling took the win for Lisbon. She lasted six innings, allowing six hits and three runs while striking out one.  Kehrer took the loss for Waterloo. She lasted six innings, allowing 13 hits and 13 runs while striking out two.

Offensively, Lisbon collected 13 hits. DaileyVrable, and Vrable each had multiple hits for Lisbon Blue Devils. Justyce Vrable and McKenna Dailey each collected three hits to lead the team.

Cieplinski led Waterloo with two hits in two at-bats.
