LISBON LEAVES EAGLES GROUNDED

WARREN OH- Justyce Vrable collected four hits in five at bats, as Lisbon defeated John F. Kennedy Catholic 17-1 on Monday. Vrable tripled in the second, singled in the third, singled in the fourth, and doubled in the fifth.

The Blue Devils got on the board in the first inning. They scored one run when Mya Emmerling singled scoring one run.

Lisbon scored five runs in the fourth inning. The offensive firepower was led by Morgan Lively, Kyrstin Reckner, Vrable, Emmerling, and McKenna Dailey, all driving in runs in the frame.

Emmerling earned the win for the Blue Devils. Emmerling surrendered one run on one hit over five innings, striking out 11 and walking one.

Faith Hollenbaugh took the loss for John F. Kennedy Catholic. The pitcher allowed 13 hits and 17 runs over five innings, striking out seven.

Lisbon launched one home run on the day. Lively went deep in the third inning.

The Blue Devils racked up 13 hits on the day. Vrable, Emmerling, Kaity Clark, and Lively each managed multiple hits. Vrable led with four hits in five at bats.

Hollenbaugh went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead John F. Kennedy Catholic in hits.
