LISBON SEES A DRAMATIC START TO TOURNAMENT PLAY

LISBON OH- Lisbon pulled off a thriller Tuesday night, edging out Lowellville 6-5 in an eight-inning nail-biter for their first tournament victory.

The game reached its peak when Gage Owens took one for the team—literally. With bases juiced, a pitch clipped Owens, walking in the winning run in walk-off fashion.

Logan Sturgeon was a key player at the plate for Lisbon, knocking in two runs on a 1-3 night, adding a walk for good measure. Marc Moore also chipped in with an RBI, rounding out his day with a hit.

On the mound, Brady Carpenter delivered a solid start, tossing 6.2 innings with 11 strikeouts, while allowing four earned runs.

Lowellville’s Liam Bartlett put up a fight, going 1-3 and driving in two runs.

Lisbon is now gearing up for the sectional final against Maplewood this Thursday. First pitch is slated for 5:00 PM, promising another intense showdown.
