LISBON’S SEVENTH INNING RALLY PRODUCES WALK OFF WIN

LISBON OH- Lisbon snagged a late lead and defeated Columbiana 7-6 on Monday. The Blue Devils were down 6-3 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Justyce Vrable homered on a 1-2 count, scoring three runs. Then Mya Emmerling hit a walk off double to score Kaity Clark and win the game.

Bats blistered as Lisbon collected eight hits and Columbiana tallied 11 in the high-scoring game.

In the first inning, Columbiana got their offense started when Tori Long singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Mya Emmerling led things off in the pitcher’s circle for Lisbon. The bulldog surrendered five runs on 11 hits over seven innings, striking out seven.

Long was in the pitcher’s circle for Columbiana. Long surrendered three runs on four hits over six innings, striking out six.

Lisbon hit one home run on the day. Vrable had a dinger in the seventh inning.

The Blue Devils scattered eight hits in the game. Vrable and Kaity Clark each collected multiple hits. Clark and Vrable each had two hits to lead.

Columbiana totaled 11 hits in the game. Julia Rapp, Long, and Mackenzi Gamble all managed multiple his. Rapp led the way with three hits in four at bats.
