LYTLE, NOT LITTLE

CORTLAND OH- There are many words that can be used to describe the play of Lakeview’s Tara Lytle. However as close as it is to her name, little is not one of them. Tara comes up big for her team night in and night out. The sophomore consistently leads her team in kills. Power is not her only asset though. Much like the rest of the Lakeview team, Tara is smart, and efficient as a hitter. She stays away from mistakes, especially in the big moments of a match. She is a big reason the Bulldogs are sitting at 14-0. In her sophomore season,

Tara leads the team in kills with 132 at the moment. Tara also hits at .233 hitting percentage, which is pretty solid for an individual stat. Tara also leads her team in service aces, and blocks with 32 aces on the season, and 19 blocks. As you can see, she is a statistical leader in many categories.

Even as a sophomore you can see Tara does not just lead in stats, but also in energy, and emotional strength. Volleyball is such a mental game, and this up and coming star does a tremendous job keeping Lakeview mentally focused. Tara is big time. Big kills, big blocks, big leadership, anything but little.

Tara sat down with YSN’s Anthony Hartwig to chat. They discuss the programs success, what its been like stepping in to a big role, and much more. Don’t miss this in depth interview with one of the leaders of Lakeview volleyball exclusively on YSN.
