MASON RANCE PACES DEVILS OVER TRIBE

SALINEVILLE,  OH- The Lisbon Blue Devils snagged a late lead and defeated Southern 12-9 on Monday. The game was tied at nine with The Devils batting in the top of the seventh when The Blue Machine broke through.  Bats blistered as Lisbon collected 11 hits and Southern tallied nine in the high-scoring game.

Lisbon got things started in the second inning. Logan Bell doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.  Southern scored four runs in the fourth inning. Pratt and Glover all drove in runs in the frame.  Josh Entrikin pitched Lisbon to victory. He allowed one hit and three runs over one and one-third innings, striking out one.  Pratt took the loss for Southern. He lasted one-third of an inning, allowing two hits and three runs while striking out one.

Cameron Summers started the game for Lisbon. He allowed eight hits and six runs over five innings, striking out four. On the other side, Glover started the game for Southern. He surrendered three runs on three hits over four innings, striking out three.

Lisbon tallied 11 hits on the day. Mason RanceTyler Toot, and Bell each had multiple hits for The Blue DevilsRance went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Lisbon in hits.  Southern totaled nine hits in the game. SmalleyGlover, and J. Sloan all had multiple hits for Southern. Smalley led Southern with three hits in four at-bats. Southern was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Lewis made the most plays with seven.
