MCDONALD CAUSES TIE ATOP MVAC

BERLIN CENTER OH- Both teams were strong on the rubber Friday, but McDonald defeated Western Reserve 2-1. Isabella O’Brien allowed just three hits to Western Reserve.

McDonald got things started in the first inning. They scored one run on a stolen base.

O’Brien earned the victory in the pitcher’s circle for McDonald. O’Brien allowed three hits and one run over seven innings, striking out 19 and walking zero.

Hannah Heath was in the pitcher’s circle for Western Reserve. Heath lasted seven innings, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out four.

Kayla Helco, Jenna Helco, Gianna Mancini, O’Brien, and Kylie Koma each managed one hit to lead McDonald.
