MCDONALD COMES UP JUST SHORT

NORTH JACKSON OH-  Bristol defeated McDonald 2-1 on Thursday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at one with Bristol batting in the bottom of the sixth when Skylar Gibson singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. The win gave Bristol the district championship.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Jaylyn Mullenax struck out 11, while Bri McCombs sat down six.

Mullenax pitched Bristol to victory. The pitcher allowed five hits and one run over seven innings, striking out 11 and walking zero.

McCombs took the loss for McDonald. She allowed seven hits and two runs over six innings, striking out six and walking zero.

Bristol saw the ball well today, racking up seven hits in the game. Gibson and Billie Miller each racked up multiple hits for Bristol Panthers Varsity. Miller and Gibson each collected two hits to lead Bristol Panthers Varsity.

Chelsea Sudol led McDonald with two hits in three at bats. The Blue Devils was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. McCombs made the most plays with four.
