Mikovich Takes The Helm at Lisbon
Lisbon (David Anderson) High School Athletic Director Kyle Bing made it official at 6:30 on Thursday night that the Blue Devils have a new Head Football Coach.
The Devil’s will bring in former Austintown Fitch Assistant Coach, Alan Mikovich. Mikovich is a Chaney grad where he started 3 years and captained the Cowboys in both Junior and Senior seasons while making All-City as a Senior.
Mikovich steps in for legendary Lisbon Coach- Jim Tsilimos who retired in December after serving two stints as Blue Devil Head Coach (1990-2007, 2011-2017) while going 147-115 during his 25 years.
The Blue Devils went 6-4 (4-3 in EOAC) in 2017 before falling to Windham in the playoffs. Last year marked the third consecutive season Lisbon qualified for Week 11.
