MILTON STORMS INTO THE DAY WITH MOMENTUM

NORTH JACKSON OH-  Jackson-Milton came out swinging and never let up on Tuesday, steamrolling Memorial 15-1 behind a monster day from Grace Johns.

Johns was locked in at the dish, going 3-for-4 and driving in five runs, including a grand slam that cleared the left field fence in the third. She also doubled home a run in the first to set the tone early for the Blue Jays.

That third inning was a straight-up explosion. Jackson-Milton dropped eight runs on Memorial in a blink. Emma Johns chipped in an RBI single, Gabby Kerr roped a 2-run triple, and Tiffany Tingler added another run with a base hit.

It didn’t take long for the Blue Jays to grab control. In the top of the first, Johns got them rolling with an RBI double, Brena McBeth followed with a 2-run double of her own, and Jayla Barlow knocked in two more to make it 5-0 before Memorial knew what hit ‘em.

They tacked on two more in the second, including another RBI knock from Johns and one more run gifted on an error. The bats were hot, but the defense was just as sharp—clean sheet in the field, no errors, with Johns handling seven chances without a hiccup.

In the circle, McBeth handled business with ease. She threw three innings of one-hit ball, fanned seven, and didn’t walk a soul. Total control. Memorial’s lone spark came from Charlasha Smallwood, who managed the only hit for the Red Devils.

The Blue Jays racked up 13 hits and drew six walks, working the count and making Memorial pay for every mistake. Barlow collected two hits, Ivy McBeth drew two free passes, and Grace Johns did it all—leadoff spark plug, defensive anchor, and the hammer in the lineup.
