MINERAL RIDGE HAS ANSWERS ALL NIGHT
MINERAL RIDGE OH- Mineral Ridge bounced back strong after a tough loss the night before, getting their revenge against Springfield with a 4-set win (25-17, 20-25, 25-11, 25-17). This was a sweet comeback from their earlier season loss to Springfield, and the Rams got it done in style.
Ava Hulett led the Rams with a stellar double-double, racking up 19 kills and 13 digs. Gianna Wilson added 11 kills and 2 blocks, while Brooklyn Gelardi had 9 kills and 18 digs. On defense, Tomlyn Sandy dug up 14 balls, and Sullivan Sandy set the table with 38 assists.
Springfield had some strong performances as well, with Baelyn Brungard putting up 21 digs and 14 kills. Mariana Tuscano contributed 3 blocks, 8 digs, and 6 kills, and Cali Matey recorded 11 digs and 3 kills. Jameka Brungard made her mark with 12 digs, 3 blocks, and 12 kills, while Karigan Mullen dished out 27 assists and picked up 6 digs. Olivia Allen rounded out the Tigers’ effort with 5 service points and 6 digs.
The Rams are gearing up for their third game in as many days as they take on Jackson-Milton next. Meanwhile, Springfield hits the road to face Waterloo in their return to league play on Thursday. Should be another barnburner!
