MOONEY OFFENSE UNLOADS IN WIN

Alaina Francis was bad news for opposing pitchers on Tuesday, driving in four on three hits to lead Cardinal Mooney past Liberty 12-4 on Tuesday. Francis drove in runs on a single in the third and a home run in the fifth.

Liberty scored three runs in the fifth inning, but Mooney still managed to pull out the victory.

The Cardinals got on the board in the first inning when Alaina Scavina homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Mooney notched eight runs in the fifth inning. The rally was led by singles by Grace Raymer, Gia Diorio, and Parker Sheehan, a home run by Francis, and an error on a ball put in play by Maria Fire.

Francis was credited with the victory for the Cardinals. The righty lasted four innings, allowing six hits and three runs while striking out seven. Scavina threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.M

Mooney launched two home runs on the day. Scavina had a homer in the first inning. Francis put one out in the fifth inning.

The Cardinals totaled 13 hits. Francis, Diorio, Fire, and Raymer each collected multiple hits. Francis went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead in hits.
