YOUNGSTOWN OH- The match up between Mooney and Ursuline is always high in intensity. Thursday night on the volleyball court lived up to the billing. Being back to full strength gave the Cardinals enough to hold off the scrappy Irish and take the match in 4 sets. (25-19 22-25 25-22 25-16)

Alaina Francis, and Alaina Scavina were a dangerous duo for the Cardinals. They both finished with 15 kills to lead the team. Scavina also had 22 digs to secure a double double in her return to the floor. Angelina Rotunno also got a double double finishing with an incredible 42 assists, and earning 12 digs. Amarra Anderson had 8 blocks on the night.

Both teams return to action on Saturday as Mooney will host Crestview. Ursuline looks to bounce back on the road traveling to Berkshire.
