MOONEY WRECKS THE WARRIORS

BELOIT OH- Cardinal Mooney sailed to an easy victory over West Branch 11-2 on Friday night.

The Cardinals opened up scoring in the first inning, when Cole Litman singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Litman was credited with the victory for Cardinal Mooney. The bulldog lasted five innings, allowing two hits and two runs while striking out eight. Zach Hyrb and Matt Kay entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Aaron Tucker took the loss for West Branch. The bulldog lasted four and a third innings, allowing 12 hits and seven runs while striking out five and walking one.

The Cardinals tallied 14 hits in the game. Hyrb, Logan Boyd, Litman, Jeff Brenner, and Gabe Saunders all managed multiple hits. Saunders, Brenner, Litman, Boyd, and Hyrb all had two hits to lead.
