MOSKAL LAUNCHES A PAIR OF BOMBS TO LIFT MOHAWK
BESSEMER PA- Addy Moskal came out swinging on Wednesday, blasting two home runs and racking up five RBIs to lead Mohawk past Quaker Valley, 13-2.
The Warriors wasted no time setting the tone. Moskal’s first shot of the day—a bomb to right—got them on the board in the first. A defensive miscue and a couple of well-placed hits followed, and just like that, Mohawk was up big early.
They kept the pressure on in the second, tacking on three more with a groundout, a sharp single, and a double down the line. Then Moskal struck again in the third—this time sending one to dead center for a solo shot.
Reagan Magno was dominant in the circle, striking out 10 and holding Quaker Valley to just three hits over six innings. She walked only one and kept the game fully under control from the start.
The Warriors finished with 12 hits on the day, spreading the damage up and down the lineup. Alivia Hare, Ally Granato, and Magno each had multiple knocks, and the team worked six walks to keep the line moving. Gianna Pezzuolo and Mylie Pistorius each drew a pair of free passes, and the defense backed it all up—clean in the field with no errors.
Quaker Valley managed three hits and scratched out a couple of runs, but couldn’t get much going against Magno’s mix of heat and movement. Next up for Mohawk is a road trip to Hopewell on Friday.
