NEWBURN’S NO NO HIGHLIGHTS UNITED VICTORY

HANOVERTON OH- Trent Newburn was brilliant on the hill on Friday, as Newburn threw a no-hitter to lead United past Wellsville 14-1.

Andrew Winn led United to victory by driving in five runs. Winn went 2-for-2 at the plate. Winn drove in runs on a double in the second, a in the third, and a single in the fourth.

The Eagles opened up scoring in the first inning, when Newburn doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

United  notched five runs in the fourth inning. Dante Rapp, Nevin Hallen, Tyler Dickens, and Winn each had RBIs in the frame.

Newburn led the Eagles to victory on the mound. The pitcher went five innings, allowing one run on zero hits, striking out 14 and walking zero.

United scattered 11 hits in the game. Dickens, Hallen, Parker Berdine, and Winn all managed multiple hits. Winn, Berdine, Hallen, and Dickens each collected two hits to lead.
