NEWTON FALLS FINDS POSITIVE VIBES

NEWTON FALLS OH- Newton Falls handled their business on Thursday, riding a big first inning to a 4-1 win over Bristol. Bristol struck first with a run on a passed ball in the top of the first, but that lead didn’t last long. The Tigers answered right back in the bottom half, stringing together doubles, a sac bunt, and a well-placed single to push four runs across and take control early.

From there, pitching and defense took over. Newton Falls’ starter worked two innings, giving up just one hit and one run while striking out three. The bullpen held it down the rest of the way, and the Tigers played clean behind them—not a single error in the field.

Five different Tigers picked up hits, and the RBI were spread around, showing a balanced effort at the plate.

Bristol kept it tight defensively, also going error-free, but couldn’t recover after the early Newton Falls rally. Next up for the Tigers is a Monday matchup on the road against Jackson-Milton.
