O’BRIEN CONTINUES TO IMPRESS

NORTH JACKSON OH- Both teams were strong in the circle on Monday, but McDonald and their ace Bella O’Brien were just a little bit stronger in a 3-0 victory over Jackson-Milton. Macayle Thornhill started the game for Jackson-Milton and went the distance as well.

O’Brien controlled the tempo in the pitcher’s circle for McDonald. The pitcher allowed one hit and zero runs over seven innings, striking out 12. That one hit for Jackson Milton was a ball hit hard by Thornhill to left field over the head of the fielder for a triple. O’Brien would bounce right back though and strike out Grace Johns to end the inning.  No other damage would be done to her line.

Thornhill was in the circle for Jackson Milton. She pitched well despite the loss, surrendering three runs on six hits over seven innings, striking out nine and walking one.

Miley Titus went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead McDonald’s offense. She knocked in a pair of RBI and scored a run.  Alivia Morrison also went 2-4 in the game with a RBI.

Jackson Milton and McDonald will conclude their series tomorrow in McDonald at Woodland Park. First pitch is set up for 5:00.
