OBRIEN SLAMS THE DOOR ON BLUE JAYS COMEBACK

MCDONALD OH- Just like the day before, both teams were strong in the circle Tuesday, but McDonald defeated Jackson-Milton  3-2. Isabella O’Brien allowed just three hits to Jackson-Milton.

McDonald got things started in the second inning. Bri McCombs singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run.

O’Brien earned the win for the Blue Devils. The righty allowed three hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out 15 and walking one.

Brena McBeth was in the pitcher’s circle for Jackson-Milton. She surrendered one run on one hit over one and one-third innings, striking out three. Macayle Thornhill threw four and two-thirds innings in relief.

Alivia Morrison, Gianna Mancini, and McCombs each collected one hit to lead McDonald.

Jackson Milton scored a run in the top of the 7th to cut the lead down to 3-2.  However O’Brien struck out Paige Grope to end the contest and shut the door on any comeback hopes.  Grace Johns, Emily Fultz, and McBeth each had a hit.
