OFFENSE WINS THE DAY AS POLAND POWERS PAST THE WARRIORS

POLAND OH- After dropping their first game of the season earlier in the day, Poland came back to face off against Brookfield in the third game of the day at their brand new softball field.  The Warriors were coming off a 3-0 win over Boardman, but this time around it was the offenses that owned the day. Poland had enough power to win the slugfest 15-9.

There were plenty of bats that shined bright for Poland. Freshman Leanna Boccieri had a perfect day at the plate going 4-4 with 3 RBI on the day. Mary Brant also went 4-4 for the Bulldogs knocking in 1 RBI.  Another freshman in the lineup Avery Jakubovic was the most productive swinger hitting in 4 RBI while going 3-3 with a run scored.  Leann Williams was 2-5 with 3 RBI.

Brookfield’s offense wasn’t held down either. They had a great day at the dish.  Arianna Jones led the way with 5 RBI on a perfect 4-4 day.  Abby DeJoy and Cadence Huffman also had 2 RBI each.  Sophia Hook hit well at the top of the order going 2-3 with a walk 3 runs scored.
