OLSON, POLAND BLANK LAKEVIEW

CORTLAND, OH- Just over a year ago, Poland Junior Braden Olson laid on an operating table preparing to undergo Tommy John surgery.  16 months later, Olson is back on the field and better than ever, and on Monday- NE8 opponent Lakeview got a first-hand look at the Olson Redemption Tour when the Bulldogs were shut-out 4-0.  He surrendered zero runs on five hits over seven innings, striking out seven and walking one.

The bright spot for Lakeview was a double by Nick Demonica in the first inning, it would be the only extra base hit for Lakeview on the day.

Austin Vogt took the loss for Lakeview. He allowed eight hits and three runs over five innings, striking out two.

Offensively, Poland totaled 11 hits. OlsonBraeden O’Shaughnessy, and Mj Farber all had multiple hits for Poland. O’Shaughnessy and Olson each managed three hits to lead the team. Olson led Poland with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with six stolen bases.
