ONE FOR THE RECORD BROOKS

There’s a saying at South Range High School that players and coaches alike abide by.  They all play “South Range ________”  Whether it be football, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, etc.  South Range athletes are born to play a certain way.  When you look at it from the outside, there’s a certain dynamic to it:  scrappy, fast, tough, all-out, relentless in all they do.  There’s an ego that is dismissed from the jump.

The “Raider-Way” is a way of thinking and acting, not of playing.

So, when you’re looking for the perfect personification of that ideal, you don’t have to look any further than South Range’s own, Chris Brooks.  The Raider Junior exemplifies the attitude that coaches love to have on their team.  A natural leader with a cool head on his shoulders, Brooks knows when to lead the team on the court, and when to take a different role.

This week Brooks won the Week 7 Baird Brothers Big Dog of the Valley with his strong showing against Salem.  Nearly unstoppable in that game, and truly hitting his stride midseason, Chris is our focus of the South Range Player Profile: ONE FOR THE RECORD BROOKS!
