ORANGE SWIMMERS HEAD TO STATE
PEPPER PIKE, OH-
Congratulations to the 8 Orange swimmers who have qualified for the State Championships next week! The Lions have put in a lot of hard work this season, and their dedication is paying off as they head to the prestigious C.T. Branin Natatorium in Canton for the State meet on Thursday and Friday.
In the girls’ competition, Charlotte Bolton is making a big splash by qualifying in multiple events: the 200-yard freestyle, 100-yard backstroke, and as part of both the 200-yard and 400-yard freestyle relay teams. Liz Campbell is also set to compete in the 200-yard individual medley, 100-yard freestyle, and as a member of the 200-yard and 400-yard freestyle relay teams. Aanya Chepyala qualified in the 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle, and is part of the 200-yard and 400-yard freestyle relay teams. Lucy Jais rounds out the girls’ qualifiers, making the State cut as part of both the 200-yard and 400-yard freestyle relay teams.
On the boys’ side, Sam Amato is heading to State in the 200-yard freestyle, 500-yard freestyle, and is part of the 200-yard and 400-yard freestyle relay teams. Galvin Dovgan qualified in the 100-yard butterfly, along with being a part of the 200-yard and 400-yard freestyle relay teams. Max Amato also earned his spot in the 200-yard individual medley, 100-yard freestyle, and as part of both the 200-yard and 400-yard freestyle relay teams. Nick Bustamante rounds out the boys’ qualifiers, making the State cut as part of both the 200-yard and 400-yard freestyle relay teams.
These 8 swimmers have shown incredible talent and determination throughout the season, and their hard work has earned them the opportunity to compete at the State Championships. We wish them all the best of luck as they head to Canton next week!
