PAVLANSKY RUNS THE SHOW

CORTLAND OH- They say the setter is the quarterback on the volleyball team, and if that is true Lakeview has one of the best young “quarterbacks” in the area. Sophomore Maggie Pavlansky runs the show for the Bulldogs. She steps in to the leadership position of a dominant program. She says she felt no pressure, only excitement to step in to the role.

Setting runs in the family for Pavlansky. Her sister Annie was a phenomenal setter in her days at Lakeview, but Maggie tries not to compare herself to her sister. She knows she bring her own individual skills to the team separate of her sister. It is that confidence that helps her lead the team at such a young age. Maggie has set up an impressive 384 assists so far this season. She has also dug up 149 balls. Pavlansky is also an aGgressive attacker as a setter, she has 74 kills on the season. Her stats don’t end there, she has served 32 aces on the year as well. These numbers prove how well rounded of a player Pavlansky is.

Maggie sat down with YSN’s Anthony Hartwig to chat about her season, they discuss stepping in to a big role, the dominance of Lakeview, and much more. Enjoy the latest Lakeview volleyball player profile “Pavlansky Runs the Show”
