POLAND PUTS ON THE HURT

STRUTHERS OH-  Poland came out swinging and never let up, steamrolling Struthers 21-1 in a quick one to move to 2-1 in NE8 play.

The Lady Bulldogs wasted no time, dropping an 8-spot in the top of the first and turning the game into a hit parade from there. They racked up 22 hits total, with Elliana Thompson, Kylie Hudran, and Sydney Bulick each knocking three. Thompson and Hudran both drove in three runs, while Leanna Boccieri stayed flawless at the dish—two hits, four ribbies. Lily McDonald, Cassie Blanch, and Madison Medvec added two hits apiece, with McDonald bringing home three. Thompson and Blanch each roped a double in the offensive onslaught.

In the circle, McDonald got the win, tossing two no-hit innings. Medvec took over and went the final three, allowing just one hit and striking out six. Struthers’ only knock came off the bat of Samantha Minno.

Katie Morris took the loss for Struthers, getting tagged for 20 hits and 19 runs over three innings. Poland is back at it Thursday when they host LaBrae.
