POLAND WIPES OUT WEST BRANCH

BELOIT, OH- Poland sailed to an easy victory over West Branch 14-1 on Saturday.  The Bulldogs opened up scoring in the first inning, when Braeden O’Shaughnessy singled, scoring one run.  Poland would put up seven runs in the fifth inning. Zachary Yaskulka, Mj Farber, Mason Mccurdy, Robbie Seitz, and Nate Hayes all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

Mike Kushner pitched Poland to victory. He surrendered one run on two hits over four innings, striking out three. Seitz threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

David Cunningham took the loss for West Branch. He lasted two innings, allowing nine hits and six runs.

The Bulldog offense was red-hot and tallied 18 hits on the day. O’Shaughnessy, Jake Bacon, Mccurdy, Farber, and Braden Olson each managed multiple hits for the Big Blue. Bacon and O’Shaughnessy each collected three hits to lead the team. Poland was also clean on defense with no errors.
