POTTERS COME UP EMPTY AGAINST OAK GLEN

EAST LIVERPOOL, OH- East Liverpool fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 10-0 loss to Oak Glen on Tuesday. Oak Glen took the lead on a single in the first inning, and capitalized throughout the game.

The Potters struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Oak Glen, giving up ten runs on eight hits.  A single by Paxton Grimes in the first inning was a positive for East Liverpool.  Lemley took the win for Oak Glen. He allowed three hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out three and walking one.  Devin Toothman took the loss for East Liverpool. He went one and two-thirds innings, allowing five runs on three hits.

Offensively, Blaize Davis, Grimes, and Trevor Wern each had one hit to lead East Liverpool.  Creese went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Oak Glen in hits. Oak Glen was stout on defense and didn’t commit a single error.
