QUAKERS RUN THEIR WAY TO A DISTRICT TITLE

The lady quakers had an outstanding showing at the district meet over the past few days.

Starting the tournament off on was the girls 4×800 team (Double, Hopple, Stafford, Hall) placing 1st with a time of 9:26.17. In the girls shot Makenna Rudy placed 1st with a throw of 39-1 and Kaylee Carlisle 4th with a throw of 34-2. In the high jump Zoie Reid placed 2nd with a jump of 5-0 and Kami Rohm 8th with a jump of 4-6. In the girls disc Kaylee Carlisle placed 2nd with a throw of 126-1 and in the long jump Rylee Hutton placed 1st with a jump of 17’0.5″.

Continuing on the track, in the 100 dash Angie Hoffaker placed 5th with a time of 13.51, in the girls 1600 run Maggie Hall palced 1st with a time of 5:19.68 and Laura Hovorka 3rd with a time of 5:45.26, in the 400 Rylee Hutton placed 4th with a time of 1:00.27 and Ella Double 5th with a time of 1:03.08, in the 800 Maggie Hall placed 1st with a time of 2:20.63 and Maggie Hopple 4th with a time of 2:22.25, in the 200 Rylee Hutton placed 5th with a time of 27.06, in the 3200 Megan Stafford placed 2nd with a time of 11:20.97 and Klaire Jaquette 4th with a time of 12:26.50.

In the finals for the relays on Saturday the girls 4×100 (Hoffaker, Reid, Coletta, Pim) placed 4th with a time of 52.44, the girls 4×200 (Pim, Reid, Double, Hutton) placed 4th with a time of 1:48.56, and the girls 4×400 (Double, Murray, Hopple, Hall) placed 1st with a time of 4:03.78.

All relay teams and individual events that placed within the top 4 will move onto regionals next week, hosted at Austintown Fitch (Thursday/Saturday).
