QUAKERS START OFF STRONG; BEAT WESTERN RESERVE

BERLIN CENTER, OH – As the 2019-2020 boys basketball regular season begins to wrap up, the Salem Quakers hit the road to take on the Western Reserve Blue Devils in a non-conference match up. Salem came out of the gates quick as they hit some big shots en route to a 33-21 halftime lead. The Blue Devils tried to battle back in the third and cut the Salem lead to six, 38-32, at the end of the third. But the Quakers started the fourth quarter off strong and regained the tempo and physicality, just like the first half, as they emerged victorious, 55-45.

The Salem Quakers were led by Drew Weir with 16 points and Hunter Griffith with 15 points.

The Western Reserve Blue Devils were led by Todd Henning with 24 points.

Salem (4-15) will once again hit the road this Friday, February 14th, as they will travel to Beloit to take on the Warriors of West Branch High School.
