QUAKERS STAY IN THE RIGHT LANE

Lane Rhodes was brilliant on the pitcher’s mound on Wednesday, as Rhodes threw a no-hitter to lead Salem past West Branch 4-0.

Salem got things moving in the first inning. Gavin Wilms doubled on a 2-0 count, scoring three runs.

Rhodes was the winning pitcher for the Quakers. The righthander allowed zero hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out seven.

David Cunningham took the loss for West Branch. The bulldog allowed four hits and four runs over six innings, striking out seven.

Rhodes, Darius Beck, Carson Rhodes, and Wilms each managed one hit to lead Salem.
