QUAKERS WIN INSTANT CLASSIC OVER CARROLLTON

CARROLLTON, OH- In a back and forth game between the 3-0 Salem Quakers and the 0-3 Carrollton Warriors, it was the Quakers who were able to make the final play when they needed to and stay unblemished on the season by a score of 24-22.

With Carrollton holding a 22-16 lead late in the 4th quarter, senior quarterback Niko Walter hit Anthony DiMuzio on a 56-yard strike to the Warrior 12 yard line. Then on the very next play, Walter hit DiMuzio again and he was able to toe-tap his way into the end zone to tie things at 22. Cade Campolito punched in the 2-pt conversion to give the Quakers a 24-22 lead and victory.
Salem moves to 4-0 on the season and 1-0 in EBC play. The return home to Sebo Stadium next week and play host to the Canton South Wildcats. Kick-off is 7:00.
