RAIDERS BREAK DOWN THE FLOOD GATES

NILES OH- South Range’s two pitchers didn’t allow a single hit, as they defeated Niles 20-0 on Monday. Jayli Wilt earned the strike out to get the last out of the game.

The Raiders secured the victory thanks to 13 runs in the second inning. Keira Brogan, Kelly Szolek, Juli Stachowicz, Madison Dado, and Solena DeJesus all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

South Range got things started in the first inning when an error scored two runs for the Raiders.

Stachowicz was the winning pitcher for South Range. Stachowicz allowed zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out eight and walking zero. Wilt threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

The Raiders launched one home run on the day. Stachowicz went deep in the second inning.

South Range had 20 hits in the game. Brogan, Szolek, Riley DeCiancio, Ashley Rupert, Stachowicz, DeJesus, and Gretchen Bartels all had multiple hits. Brogan went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead in hits.

The two teams will complete their NE8 series on Tuesday as they play again at South Range. First pitch is set for 5:00.
