RAIDERS ESCAPE FIVE SET THRILLER IN POLAND

POLAND OH- It seems like no matter the sport, a matchup between Poland and South Range is always prone to chaos. On Tuesday night it was the volleyball court that played host to this rivalry. The Raiders escaped a thriller in five sets. (25-23 16-25 23-25 25-22 15-11)

 

Maria Primavera had an amazing night. She led the Raiders offense with 24 kills.  Maddie Mook added 6 kills to the offense as well. Sarah Kuhns set up the offense well as she finished with 27 assists. Primavera notched a double double by leading the team in digs with 26.  The Raiders had two other players dig up over 20 balls.  Gianna Pasquale finished the night with 25, and Maddie Dado ended the night with 23.

Poland was led on offense by Sarah Forsyth who finished the night with 16 kills. Sophia D’Angelo contributed 9 kills as well.  Morgan Bailey set the ball well all night and finished with 25 assists.  Madelyn Ray led the Bulldogs defense with 21 digs.

South Range moves on to finish out NE8 play on Thursday as they travel to Lakeview.  Poland will also close out conference play on Thursday as they host Niles.
