RAIDERS FAST START PACES WIN OVER UNIVERSITY

CANFIELD, OH- South Range entered Friday Night’s game looking up at a team 3 divisions higher than they sat.  University School brought their sizable Division 2 program into Raider territory on a night where South Range was honoring their Hall of Famers.  However, the Raiders were ready early and often from the kickoff, scoring on the first play from scrimmage on a 65-yard score from Billy Skripac to Shane Lindstrom on their way to a 40-21 victory.

Skripac would throw for a pair of touchdowns and an interception on his way to 173 yards through the air and 24 yards on the ground.  Cory Penick led all South Range rushers with 39 yards on 8 carries, Dylan Dominguez had 15 totes for 38 yards, and Conner Jones stacked up 29 yards on 7 carries.

Through the air, Ayden Leon had three catches for 80 yards and a touchdown.  Shane Lindstrom had two touchdowns on the night, one on the ground, and the other through the air.

Cory Penick led the defense in tackles with eight, while JD Crouse was all over the field on his way to three solo tackles and some big hits throughout the night.

South Range (2-0) now turns their sights to Canton Central Catholic (1-1) who will march into Raider Stadium next Friday.
