RAIDERS FIND TIMELY HITTING IN GIRARD

GIRARD OH-  South Range got it done on the road Wednesday, grinding out a 4-2 win over Girard behind a strong day on the mound and some timely hitting.

The Raiders broke through in the third with a sac fly and a base hit up the middle to plate two and grab the lead. They added a couple more in the fifth to create some breathing room, and that was all they needed.

On the hill, Brennen Klasovsky went the distance. The righty scattered seven hits over seven innings, striking out nine and walking just one in a solid all-around performance.

South Range racked up nine hits on the day. Gavin Hiscox was locked in, going 3-for-3, while Jake Shumate came through with two big RBIs to power the offense.

Girard had their chances, getting multi-hit games from a few bats and showing life on the basepaths with a couple of stolen bags, but they couldn’t come up with the big hit when it counted. Next up, South Range keeps it rolling Thursday with a matchup against Struthers. Girard gets back at it on Friday as they travel to East Palestine.
