John F. Kennedy watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 14-1 loss to Harding on Wednesday. Harding scored on a single by Carson Peterson in the first inning, a single by Quincy Brown in the first inning, and a single by Elijah Taylor in the second inning.

The Eagles struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Harding, giving up 14 runs.

Harding got things moving in the first inning. Peterson drove in two when Peterson singled.

Harding scored six runs in the seventh inning. Taylor, Brett Brown, Dashaun Gunther-Putnam, and Michael Jones all drove in runs in the frame.

Taylor led the Harding to victory on the pitcher’s mound. The fireballer lasted seven innings, allowing eight hits and one run while striking out six and walking one.

Gavin Shrum took the loss for John F. Kennedy. The righty surrendered eight runs on nine hits over two and a third innings, striking out two.

Caleb Hadley led John F. Kennedy with two hits in three at bats.

Harding collected 17 hits on the day. Peterson, Taylor, Brown, Jones, and Brown each racked up multiple hits Peterson went 4-for-5 at the plate to lead Harding in hits. Harding didn’t commit a single error in the field.
