RAIDERS HOIST COLORS AGAINST ROOTSTOWN

CANFIELD, OH- The quick-strike offense of South Range showed up in a big way in Week 11, but people are starting to whisper about the crisp Raider defense as well.  Rootstown tried nearly a dozen different looks on Saturday night but was unable to crack the code against the Raiders in a 45-0 loss.

It seems to be a trend that as the temperatures dip, so does the scoring against this South Range defensive unit.

Here’s an eye-popping stat: The Raiders have held their opponents to 31 points in the month of October while dialing up 232 points themselves.

Billy Skripac led the Raiders offensively in Week 11 going 7/10 through the air for 150 yards and 3 trips to the endzone.  Dylan Dominguez led the ground attack with 107 yards and a score on 15 totes.  Tyler Remish punched one in on one of his three carries, while Aiden Leon made the most of his catch- taking it in for a house call.  JD Crouse, Shane Lindstrom, and Blake Ewert each had receiving scores as well for the Raiders.

Defensively, Corey Penick led the way with 5 tackles, while Joey Plunkett was the sheriff of the defensive backfield with three tackles and an interception.

With the win, the Raiders (11-0) earn the right to host another playoff game next week against Crestwood.  The game will be carried LIVE on YSN Saturday night.
