Juli Stachowicz threw a gem on Thursday for South Range, allowing zero runs and besting Crestview by a score of 16-0 to win the sectional championship.

In the first inning, South Range got their offense started when Gretchen Bartels singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

The Raiders notched eight runs in the third inning. Kelly Szolek, Stachowicz, Bartels, Anna Aey, Ashley Rupert, and Solena DeJesus each drove in runs during the inning.

A single by Katie Lissi in the fourth inning was a positive for Crestview.

Stachowicz led the South Range to victory on the rubber. The pitcher allowed one hit and zero runs over five innings, striking out 12 and walking zero.

Emma Snyder took the loss for the Rebels. Snyder allowed 14 hits and 16 runs over two innings.

South Range racked up 15 hits. Bartels, Szolek, Aey, Madison Dado, and Jayli Wilt all managed multiple hits. Bartels went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead South Range in hits. The Raiders was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Szolek made the most plays with 12.
