RAIDERS RACK UP THE HITS

By Michael Wolfgang

GIRARD, OHIO – The high octane South Range offense continues to roll and flex their muscles as they blanked Girard 9-0 Monday night.

The South Range offense is a tough one to keep at bay, and Girard found that out as the Raiders got on the board quickly in the top of the first on a Nick Plunkett RBI double that scored one.

The one run was all South Range ended up needing, but managed to add on three more runs in the fourth inning, one in the sixth, and four in the seventh for a big time cushion and finish with nine total runs, 13 hits, and one fielding error on the night.

Konnor Brogan came out on top as the winning pitcher on the hill. Brogan pitched an absolute gem of a game for his team as he allowed just three hits and zero runs over seven innings with nine backward K’s and one base on balls.

Billy Skripac, Logan Baxter, Gaven Nagy, Blake Jeffries, and Tyson Tarajack were the Raiders batters who each went for multi-hit performances in the box.

South Range will look to take a two game sweep over Girard Tuesday as they face off on the diamond again, this time in South Range at 5:00 p.m.
