RAIDERS REMAIN PERFECT; BLANK JEFFERSON

CANFIELD, OH- South Range is firing on all cylinders right out of the gate in 2023.  South Range defeated Jefferson 10-0 on Wednesday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout.

In the first inning, the Raiders got their offense started when Nick Plunkett singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

South Range then put up five runs in the third inning and the offensive barrage was led by Logan Baxter, Shumate, and Shane Lindstrom, who each had RBIs in the inning.

One bright spot for Jefferson Area Varsity Falcons was a double by Lambert in the fourth inning.

Raider Sophomore Tyson Tarajack took the win for South Range. The right-hander surrendered zero runs on one hit over four innings, striking out five. Shumate threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Toby Dickson took the loss for Jefferson. Dickson went three innings, allowing seven runs on eight hits, striking out three, and walking zero.

South Range tallied ten hits in the game. Lindstrom, Baxter, Plunkett, and Billy Skripac all collected multiple hits for the Raiders. Lindstrom led South Range Varsity Raiders with three hits in three at-bats.
