RAIDERS ROLL THROUGH DOUBLEHEADER AT RIPKEN

MYRTLE BEACH, SC- The South Range Baseball team kept rolling on Tuesday, as they were presented an opportunity to play in a doubleheader before a well-deserved off day on Wednesday.  The Raiders knew there was business to be handled, and it was handled indeed with great pitching and timely hitting throughout both contests.

In the first matchup, South Range locked horns with North Central, and Raider Ace, Billy Skripac took the bump.  The right-hander went the distance and struck out double-digit Knights en route to the 3-1 victory.

Leading the way for the Raider offense were Joey Aey, Gaven Nagy, and Tyson Tarajack who each went 2 for 3.  Nick Plunkett and Shane Lindstrom would both drive in runs in the first contest to seal the win for South Range.  Dylan Smesko would snag a pair of steals along the way as well.

In the second game, Shane Lindstrom would lead the offense with a home run (first career) and 4 RBI’s in a 13-3 win over Bowling Green.  Tyson Tarajack was beyond outstanding on the mound for South Range in his start on the hill.

South Range will return to action on Thursday against the Abbeville Panthers at 11am
