RAIDERS WAY TOO MUCH FOR JEFFERSON

CANFIELD, OH – Brandon Mikos shut down Jefferson Area, throwing a complete game shutout and leading South Range to a 10-0 victory on Monday. South Range opened up scoring in the first inning, when Billy Skripac singled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs. The Raiders tallied four runs in the fifth inning. The offensive onslaught by South Range was led by Stevie Rohan, Luke Blasko, Dom Pasquale, and Michael Markulin, all driving in runs in the inning.

A single by Braydon Throop in the second inning was a positive for Jefferson Area. Mikos took the win for South Range, he surrendered zero runs on one hit over five innings, striking out nine. Kory Newhart took the loss for Jefferson Area. The pitcher went two and a third innings, allowing five runs on five hits and striking out one.

Kirkland Lambert started the game for Jefferson Area. The hurler lasted two innings, allowing two hits and five runs. Rohan went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead South Range in hits. The Raiders didn’t commit a single error in the field. Trey Pancake had ten chances in the field, the most on the team. Throop led Jefferson Area with one hit in two at bats.
