RANGE BUSTS OUT BROOMS AGAINST BIRDS

CANFIELD, OH- They might have been away on the scoreboard, but it was home sweet home for South Range on Wednesday as they were able to get the season sweep of NE8 rival, Jefferson.  South Range snagged a late lead and defeated Jefferson 4-2 in eight innings. The game was tied at two with the Lady Raiders batting in the top of the eighth when Samantha Susany hit a solo homer.

In the bottom of the seventh inning, Jefferson tied things up at two when an error scored two runs for the Lady Falcons.

Juli Stachowicz was in the circle for South Range. The lefthander lasted eight innings, allowing one hit and two runs while striking out 11 and walking none.

Speakman led things off on the rubber for Jefferson for the second night in a row. The pitcher went eight innings, allowing four runs on eight hits and striking out seven..

Keira Brogan stayed hot at the dish and led South Range with two hits in three at-bats.

Hill went 1-for-3 at the plate to lead Jefferson in hits.
