RANGE SINKS HUBBARD; BOTH TEAMS HEAD TO WEEK 11

CANFIELD, OH –With both teams looking to gain traction toward Week 11, it was the South Range Raiders that came out with heavy hands in this heavyweight bout.  The Raiders scored 28 unanswered points en route to a 36-13 victory over their NE8 rival, Hubbard.

Hubbard was led through the air by Cam Resatar with 11 completions on 24 attempts for 73 yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception. The Eagles were led on the ground by Tim Caffey with 10 carries for 46 yards. Hubbard’s top receiver was Nate Bencetic with 2 receptions for 27 yards. The Eagles were led defensively by Tim Caffey with 7.5 tackles, as well as, Tom Wess with 7 tackles, and Alex Goodrick with 6 tackles.

South Range’s air raid was led by Michael Patrone with 3 completions on 5 attempts for 57 yards and 1 touchdown. The Raiders were led on the ground by Dylan Dominguez with 11 carries for 159 yards and 2 touchdowns. South Range’s top receivers were Trey Pancake with 1 reception for 35 yards and a touchdown, and Jake Gehring with 1 reception for 7 yards and 1 touchdown. The Raiders were paced on defense by Corey Kougher with 5 tackles.

As it stands, the Raiders unofficially will host Bellaire next Saturday at Raider Stadium in Round 1 of the OHSAA Playoffs.  Hubbard has clinched as well, but await the results of games in their region.  YSN will have official sites and seedings on Sunday.
