REBELS ARE THE REAL DEAL

COLUMBIANA, Ohio — Crestview secured its third consecutive win with a dominant 44-14 triumph over Liberty on Friday night. The Rebels, now 3-1 overall and 1-0 in the Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference Gray Division, pulled away in the second half after the game was tied 14-14 at halftime.
Max Hawkins led Crestview’s offensive charge, rushing for an unbelievable 302 yards on 30 carries and scoring two touchdowns. Jameson English also made significant contributions with five receptions for 85 yards and two touchdown catches. Mikey Proctor added a rushing touchdown, and quarterback Josh Noling completed seven of nine passes for 98 yards.
Defensively, Josh Smith made a notable play with a 50-yard fumble return for a touchdown.
Crestview accumulated 424 total yards of offense during the game. Liberty’s efforts included 76 rushing yards from Dawaun Moody and three catches for 44 yards. Quarterback Tyson Lawrence-Watson passed for 111 yards, and Juju Ferrell scored on a 66-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter.
Crestview (3-1, 1-0 MVAC) will now look to play The Southeast Pirates (2-2, 1-0 MVAC) in The Pirates second conference game. Liberty (0-4) will look to right the ship when they travel to Brookfield (1-3, 1-0 MVAC) in a bout with The Warriors.
