REBELS EVEN THE SCORE WITH LABRAE

COLUMBIANA, OHIO- There were runs aplenty on Wednesday as the Crestview Rebels defeated the LaBrae Vikings 8-6.

The Rebels collected 14 hits on the day as Max Hawkins, Jesse McKee, Braden Devine, Tyler Milhorn, and Josh Dragovich all managed multiple hits for the Rebels. Hawkins went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the team in hits.

The Rebels got things moving in the first inning when they scored one run on a Ethan Feezle single.

LaBrae knotted the game up at two in the top of the third inning when Austin Rowe grounded out, scoring one run.

The Rebels pulled away for good with five runs in the fourth inning when Devine singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Milhorn doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring three runs, and McKee singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Drew Dattilio earned the victory on the hill for Rebels as he lasted three and two-thirds innings, allowing two hits and two runs while striking out four and walking zero.

Dylan Simpson led Labrae at the plate going 4 for 4 and also took the loss on the mound as he allowed 14 hits and eight runs over six innings, striking out three and walking one.

Crestview will take on non-conference opponent Bristol on Thursday at 5:00 while Labrae will look to get back to their winning ways when take on non-conference opponent Cardinal on Thursday at 5:00.
