REBELS FIND HEARTBREAK IN THE TITLE ROUND
TWINSBURG OH- Crestview had the edge in hits, but Hillsdale came out with the win—scoring just enough and leaning on lights-out pitching to take a 2-0 victory Friday.
Makayla McKee and Alivia Shetler each notched a hit for the Rebels, but that was all Crestview could string together. Despite doubling up Hillsdale in the hit column, they couldn’t cash in.
Emma Snyder did her job in the circle, allowing just one hit over six innings and giving up two runs—only one earned. But a costly error in the fourth let the Falcons break the scoreless tie, and that was all they needed.
Keira Filius was the story for Hillsdale. The righty mowed down eight and walked just one in a complete-game shutout. Kiki McFadden came through with the lone hit for the Falcons and kept pressure on Crestview throughout.
Tough way to go out for the Rebels—sharp on defense, solid in the circle, but the hits just weren’t there. The Rebels end their memorable season with plenty to be hopeful for come next year.
