REBELS GROUND EAGLES TO ADVANCE

COLUMBIANA, OH-  The Crestview Rebels defeated United 4-3 on Wednesday, and Crestview Senior Jeff Feo was a big part of keeping the Eagles at bay.  The Rebs captured the lead in the second inning when Caleb Hill hit into a fielder’s choice, scoring one run.  United evened things up at three in the top of the third inning. An error scored one run for United.

Crestview would take the lead for good with one run in the fourth inning when Jeff Feo would single home the eventual winning run.

Tyler Hurd was credited with the victory for Crestview. He lasted seven innings, allowing eight hits and three runs while striking out six and walking one.  Shane Black took the loss for United. He went four and two-thirds innings, allowing one run on five hits, striking out three and walking zero.  Kyle Bailey started the game for United. He lasted one and one-third innings, allowing two hits and three runs while striking out one

Feo went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Crestview in the hitting column, but his catch in the top of the seventh with a runner on second and two outs is what sealed the deal for the Rebels, and made the Crestview Senior an instant legend.

The Rebels will flip the switch, and head to Rootstown to play the second-seeded Rovers at 5 PM Thursday.
