RECORDS FALL IN SOUTHERN WIN OVER LIONS

SALINEVILLE OH- They day record’s were meant to be broken, but no one expects multiple records to be effected in one night. That was scene at Southern on Tuesday night as the Indians and Heartland Christian put on a show. Southern would come away with the 65-47 win.

Southern freshman Ashley Shroades has already opened eyes this season. Shroades has already had a game eclipsing 30 points, and Tuesday night she took it further tying the program’s single game point record by dropping 51 points.

Lions captain Maddie Mathews would not let Ashley be the only one to get in the record books on the night. She took the record for single game points finishing with 32. She also grabbed the record for most threes in a game knocking down 6 from the perimeter.

Sophie Stambaugh added 11 for the Lions offense.
