REGIONAL POWERHOUSE NO MATCH FOR THE KNIGHTS

AKRON OH- Both teams were strong in the pitcher’s circle Thursday, but Archbishop Hoban defeated Brecksville-Broadview Heights 3-1. Faith Porter allowed just three hits to the Bees.

In the second inning, Hoban got their offense started when Mya Akers grounded out, scoring one run.

Porter was the winning pitcher for the Knights. The pitcher allowed three hits and one run over seven innings, striking out five.

Emma Cozza started the game for the Bees. The pitcher allowed five hits and three runs over six innings, striking out one.

Nylah Durham led Hoban with two hits in three at bats. The Knights didn’t commit a single error in the field. Robyn Ryan had the most chances in the field with eight.

Brecksville-Broadview Heights was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Anna Wise made the most plays with seven.
